On October 19 – 23, EMAP participated in The Salon International de l’Agroalimentaire (SIAL), the world largest food exhibition that took place in Paris; with the goal of promoting for Egypt’s MAP sector through presenting samples of the dried herbs produced by small and medium exporters from Upper Egypt.
EMAP’s booth at the Egyptian pavilion contained samples of Egyptian herbs produced by project’s beneficiaries in the aim of helping Egyptian exporters to have an improved position in International export markets.
During the exhibition, several business meetings were conducted with potential buyers from all over the world to widen the exposure of Egyptian MAPs to International trade horizon.
Meetings also focused on demanded varieties, quality, prices and main target markets. Business contacts were exchanged as well to support linking Egyptian exporters to international buyers while bearing basic attention to small and medium producers.
Consequently, business deals are highly expected in the coming months.
